Eucalyptus leaves begin waxy and glossy green. Eventually they fall from the tree and this is when they are the most interesting. Due to their waxy coating, eucalyptus leaves take a long time to break down. As they do so, they undergo colour changes.

Red sounds too simple a word to describe the colour of our fiery friend. Let's try some other adjectives....scarlet, vermillion, cherry red, claret. Here's another one...beautiful!
