Meet the bottlebrush…genus Callistemon. Callistemon comes from the Greek words ‘Kalli’ meaning beautiful and ‘stemon’ meaning stamen which is in reference to the bright, red filaments (stamens) that together form the distinctive bottlebrush shape.
This print is my digital interpretation of my hand drawn image of the Callistemon. Weeping Bottlebrush are an enduring favourite of mine and there is no shortage of them in our garden.
