Desert In Bloom: Xanthorea Fine Art Print
Kangaroo Island is a special place. As we walked through Flinders Chase National Park, evidence of the fires which ravished the island in 2020 was everywhere. However the epicormic buds had burst and regrowth was steadily filling the spaces left after the firestorm. Fire is part of the Xanthorroea’s growth cycle and after fires they are one of the first plants to resprout. Not long before we visited it had rained and wildflowers in a kaleidoscope of colours carpeted the forest floor. The colours delighted me and natures ability to survive awed me. Every time I look at this picture it reminds me of these things and a small smile comes across my face. I hope you delight in it as much as I do.
