Medium of Original: pen, pencil and charcoal
The Tawny Frogmouth is an interesting bird. They are called Tawny Frogmouths because their wide mouth looks a bit like a frog…or so people say. They are not owls and they are not good nest builders. However they are the masters of camouflage and even when I know they are around I often have trouble spotting them. Not sure if this is because of the colour of their plumage or because my eyes are getting older!
Where I work they are often seen. However it is always a bit of a challenge to spot them.
This picture was hand drawn by me using ink pens and charcoal. The original photo was taken by Bill Collison. Thank you Bill for kindly allowing me to use this lovely image.
*While this print comes in an A4 and A3 size, please note the image is centered in the middle of the page and will suit a square frame best.
